Layne Dalfen of The Dream Interpretation Center to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

Dreaming is just thinking. There’s always a reason for today’s dream. It’s not random.”

— Layne Dalfen

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, September 29, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — To sleep, perchance to dream. Each night we dream all manner of strange, wondrous and frightening experiences. There is value in decoding and understanding our dreams. All it takes is learning what questions to ask.

Layne Dalfen is a dream analyst and the founder of The Dream Interpretation Center, where she helps clients understand the language of their subconscious.

“All dreams have meaning,” says Layne. “Dreaming is just thinking. There’s always a reason for today’s dream. It’s not random. The subconscious mind is brilliant and very sophisticated.”

Layne’s own interest in dreams stems from her early experience in Freudian analysis where dream work was the primary tool. As a dream analyst, Layne looks at dreams from a psychological perspective. The dreamer tells her the dream and she knows the right questions to ask. Ultimately, it’s the dreamers themselves who uncover what their dream is about.

“Dreaming is problem solving. Your subconscious mind prioritizes the thing that’s bugging you the most. The dream is you continuing the discussion you’ve been having with yourself throughout the day, but now while you’re asleep,” explains Layne.

“Dreams are you testing different solutions and reactions to a very specific current issue you’re attempting to reach a conclusion about. The solution to the problem presents itself in the dream. That’s the fun part: searching for the metaphors and how they present solutions.”

According to Layne, our subconscious is a database that holds every single memory and association we’ve had since we were born. That’s why, Layne says, she doesn’t subscribe to the idea that certain types of dreams mean the same thing to everyone. The associations our subconscious develops are as unique to each person as their fingerprint.

“If you are aware of the valuable and rich material in your dreams, you will be more likely to remember them,” says Layne.

“If you know how to decode your dreams, you can access that material, and in the process propel your problem solving skills.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Layne Dalfen in an interview with Doug Llewelyn on October 3rd at 1pm EDT.

Listen to the show on BlogTalkRadio.

Halloween Nightmares to be distributed in USA Barnes & Noble Bookstores

Rabbit Publisher’s Campaign for Halloween Nightmares

The new book by Mark Andrew Poe is “Just Scary Enough” for the Crystal Lake Barnes & Noble

We are delighted to be working with Barnes & Noble on this special seasonal book.”

— Emily Botica, Diamond

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND, USA, September 28, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Diamond Comic Distributors announced that Barnes & Noble Bookstores across America will be carrying the new Harry Moon middle-grade book, Halloween Nightmares by Mark Andrew Poe. “We are delighted to be working with Barnes & Noble on this special seasonal book. No one understands Halloween better than our twelve-year-old magician, Harry Moon,” said Emily Botica, Director of Publisher Relations & Trade Marketing at Diamond.

“We had a great success with Mark Andrew Poe’s book signing of Wand-Paper-Scissors,” said Teresa Noble, Manager of the Crystal Lake Barnes & Noble, in Crystal Lake, Illinois. “We are thrilled that the newest book in the Harry Moon series, Halloween Nightmares, is now at our stores, and equally thrilled that Mark Andrew Poe will be returning to sign his newest creation for all the Harry Moon fans.” Ms. Noble said that Mark Andrew Poe will be signing Halloween Nightmares at their store on Saturday, October 28 from 1 pm to 3 pm. There will also be a Halloween party at Crystal Lake with a scavenger hunt and Halloween parade.

“Trick-or-Treat has become a worldwide phenomenon,” said Steve Goerth of Rabbit Publishers, the Chicago-based publishing house that creates and publishes both the Harry Moon and Honey Moon series. Harry Moon is twelve years old, and Honey Moon, his irascible sister, is ten years old. “We are adding to the Trick-or-Treat goody- bag this year, with our own special treat, Halloween Nightmares. We are hoping that moms and grandmoms will treat their child this year not only to candy, but to some real character-building that can be found in the book. It’s funny and , yes, it has some scares,” said Steve Goerth. “Around Rabbit Publishers we like to say that Halloween Nightmares is ‘just scary enough’.”

“I would agree,” said Teresa Noble. “Halloween Nightmares reminded me of the Nightmare Before Christmas. It is ‘just scary enough’.” This particular Harry Moon book involves Harry Moon unraveling an old curse that the evil mayor has put over the fictional town of Sleepy Hollow, Massachusetts. For the first time, the magic carpet, the Impenetrable, is introduced into the series.

The former President of Production at Walt Disney Studios, David Kirkpatrick, has endorsed the book. “Halloween Nightmares is a magic carpet ride that delivers laughs as well as thrills.”

In concert with the launch of Halloween Nightmares, Rabbit Publishers is conducting a worldwide game called The Good Mischief Contest. Finalists compete for two grand prizes by making a video of their “Good Mischief feat”. Good Mischief is described by the publishing house as a “kindness that surprises”. The two winners of the contest will be announced via live stream on Halloween Night, and will go on a tour of the legendary Geppi Entertainment Museum which features memorabilia from superheroes including Batman and Superman.

Emmy Award Winning Producer Options Harry Moon's Good Mischief Contest

Dan Redler, Producer

Abraham Morris, Director

Our culture is in need of kindness and warmth.”

— Dan Redler, Producer

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, USA, September 28, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Los Angeles producer Dan Redler has optioned the rights to create and produce a reality-based television special and series built around Harry Moon’s Good Mischief Contest. The contest is currently being played across the globe in 10 countries and 33 states.

The contest is the brainchild of Chicago-based Rabbit Publishers. Rabbit is a publisher of the acclaimed Harry Moon book series. In the contest, the 100 finalists, ages 8 to 12, videotape their feat of Good Mischief. The publishing company describes Good Mischief as a “kindness that surprises.” The finalists upload their videos onto the cloud for viewing and voting across all social platforms including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

“We are thrilled to have Dan Redler taking the leadership position for this television project. He is an accomplished producer who understands the magical powers of children,” said Thom Black of Rabbit Publishers.

Redler won an Emmy for his production of the family drama “In His Father’s Shoes” starring Academy Award winner Lou Gossett Jr. The show was awarded another Emmy for its young star Robert Ri’chard and received an additional three nominations along with a Cable Ace nomination. Showtime launched a new era of family programs following the success of “In His Father’s Shoes.” Redler’s other producing credits include George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion” starring Peter O’Toole and Margot Kidder for Showtime.

“Our culture is in need of kindness and warmth,” says Redler. “Mix that warmth and kindness with the humor, grace and irascibility that comes from the very young and something special emerges. These children exude appreciation and love. Using an innate sense of wonder, joy and discovery, they are speaking up for kindness with clever solutions to problems they see and are determined to solve. They inspire me, and I know they will inspire our audience.”

Redler has brought in director-producer Morris Abraham to develop the “Good Mischief” TV show. “Morris has done terrific work with kids,” said Redler, citing Abraham’s achievements on the reboots of “Kids Say the Darndest Things” for CBS and “The New Mickey Mouse Club” for Disney Channel. Morris consecutively directed high-profile “live” TV award shows and event specials including the Miss America Pageant, the Teen Choice Awards, and Kids’ Choice Awards.

A deal with a specific television network or cable provider is the next step. “Morris Abraham and I are honing our approach on the Good Mischief project before we find its home,” said Redler.

What caught Dan Redler’s eye were Facebook posts of the finalists. “I saw those mischievous smiles. I was immediately drawn in,” Redler said. What also caught Redler’s eye was a Facebook post announcing David Paul Kirkpatrick’s appointment as coach for the Good Mischief finalists. “By sheer coincidence and the quirky magic of social media, David and I reconnected. We first met when David was at Paramount Pictures. He was president. I had just recently arrived and landed a role as a talent agent. I was assigned to negotiate a writing deal for then-unknown Kennan Ivory Wayans. Making the deal without giving away that I was clueless was a daunting task. Looking back, I think David practiced “kindness that surprises” even then. While there was a great deal of pressure to close the deal, David managed to finesse the complicated relationship between the movie’s star, Eddie Murphy, and Keenan. His behind-the-scenes efforts enabled us to close the deal. The movie went on to become the No. 1 stand-up film of all time [at the] box office.”

“I am excited that Dan Redler and Morris Abraham are taking the reins,” said Kirkpatrick. “I am sure it will be a great show.”

Rabbit Publishers has just released its latest Harry Moon book, “Halloween Nightmares” by Mark Andrew Poe. It is available at Barnes & Noble, in independent book stores, and on Amazon. The Harry Moon series is distributed in the general market by Diamond Comic Distribution and in the faith market by Anchor Distributors.

Rabbit Publishers recently announced its own good mischief with its new partnership with Boston-based Dana Farber Cancer Institute. A portion of the proceeds from the Harry Moon Book Club will support research of children’s pediatric cancers. “Every child matters to us,” said Steve Goerth of Rabbit Publishers. “They are our future. Any way we can encourage healthy action and empowerment for kids, we are there.”

Hope and Life Press announces A Modern Sinner's Guide for the Third Millennium by Catholic editorialist Angelo Stagnaro

First book to make over 70 sins, including the Vatican's new 7 deadly sins and 10 delicts, understandable to modern audiences with practical advice about sin.

A clarion call for the truth in an age that has forgotten sin is an objective thing.”

— Maria McFadden Maffucci and John Meinert, PhD.

EAST LONGMEADOW, MASSACHUSETTS, USA, September 28, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Hope and Life Press is pleased to announce the release of the book A Modern Sinner's Guide for the Third Millennium by the National Catholic Register's award-winning editorialist Angelo Stagnaro. The book has been granted the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York. A Modern Sinner’s Guide for the Third Millennium makes sin understandable to modern audiences and gives practical advice on how to identify and avoid sin in one’s life, deal with temptation, and how to evangelize others who may be unaware of sin’s enormity and its grave nature. Presenting chapters on the foundations of Christianity, the nature of sin, the pursuit of holiness, the Ten Commandments, the seven deadly sins and new deadly sins, the sins against the Holy Spirit, ultimate sins, the unforgiveable sin, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, this book provides an in-depth look on more than 70 sins from a theological and spiritual perspective, together with the consequences of sins and remedies for them. The book uniquely addresses the ten delicts and the new seven deadly social sins promulgated in 2008 by the Vatican. It also has sections on Purgatory, Hell, Divine forgiveness, indulgences, the nature of good and evil, and the Christian spiritual quest.

A Modern Sinner’s Guide for the Third Millennium is suitable for several audiences including RCIA catechumens, catechists, homilists, apologists, canonists, people interested in exploring different forms of Christian spirituality, those interested in comparative religions and spiritual traditions, and Christians interested in developing their own spiritual life. The book, which consists of over 450 pages at size 7" by 10", is available in paperback edition from Amazon, Hope and Life Press, major book outlets, and can be found at the Vatican's libraries. It is also available in ebook edition directly from the publishers.

“In an age such as ours, this book is a clarion call for the truth. A Modern Sinner’s Guide for the Third Millennium by Angelo Stagnaro takes its inspiration from an important and extremely potent spiritual work by Venerable Louis of Granada. We need not a sinner’s guide to happiness and fulfillment, but a guide to sin: its definitions, types, causes, and remedies. One cannot be healed by a doctor until the disease is admitted and this book can serve as a diagnostic manual. One might think the book grim, but this is far from it. Stagnaro, a Third Order Franciscan and prolific writer, is just the person to guide others through the types of sin, their remedies and the Sacrament of Confession. By his own admission, he is an expert in sinning, but also repentance. Only Christ’s light can cast out the darkness of our sins. Only His forgiveness in confession can scrape the scales from our eyes and renew our hearts. Then we shall see anew, see the world as it truly is, and be fully alive” – John Meinert, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Theology, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University.

“Angelo Stagnaro has taken on a hugely ambitious task in A Modern Sinner’s Guide for the Third Millennium, yet the breadth of undertaking makes sense as it is a modern understanding and reworking of Venerable Louis of Granada’s original guide. Stagnaro has followed in formidable footsteps and does so admirably. The book’s length should cause no anxiety. It is not a cover-to- cover read, but a true guidebook, a valuable directory of sin: what sin is, what kinds of sins there are, how they are manifested, and how we can work to avoid them. Despite the guilt-inducing subject matter, A Modern Sinner’s Guide is an engaging and even enjoyable read as Stagnaro writes with compassion, humility and refreshing flashes of humor. The book is timely. In an age that has forgotten that sin is an objective thing, ‘living without values is a sure ticket to self-destruction,’ as Stagnaro says. There are also thought-provoking discussions about some of our modern age’s most contentious and problematic issues” – Maria McFadden Maffucci, Editor, Human Life Review.

Angelo Stagnaro is an award-winning journalist with the UN, newspapers and international wire services in the United States of America (US), Europe and Australia. He is the Catholic News Service's chief correspondent in New York City, the principal liaison for the Holy See, and an editorialist for the National Catholic Register. His major articles have appeared in the Washington Post, Catholic Herald, National Catholic Reporter, America Magazine, and The Tablet among others. Stagnaro is the author of several books on Catholic spirituality including How to Pray the Dominican Way, The Pro-Life Apologetics Manual, The Christian Book of the Dead, and The Catechist's Magic Kit. A professional stage mentalist and one of the world's experts on cold reading, he is also the author of eight seminal works on stage magic and cold reading that have been translated into multiple languages. Stagnaro graduated from SUNY-Albany and Kansai Gaikokugo Daigaku with specializations in the Ethnology of Religion, Comparative Asian Religions and Physical Anthropology. He also pursued theological studies at the University of Notre Dame. Stagnaro is a professed member of the Secular Franciscans and has served as RCIA catechist in New York and Singapore.

New Book on Finding Florida Budget Homes

How we went from bankruptcy and renting to owning a modern single family home on Florida’s Gulf Coast, and how you can do the same; with hundreds of links.

NORTH FORT MYERS, FLORIDA, USA, September 27, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — A retiree in Florida is introducing a new book that tells exactly how to find a modern single family home in Florida and buy it for $30,000 or less. It tells the story of how his family came to Florida after bankruptcy and rented while searching for a new home. After lots of trials, the family eventually was able to buy in a Florida Gulf Coast 55+ community for $17,000 (in 2014). How this was done is examined in detail, and all the pertinent forms are provided. The book goes on to show exactly how to search and includes hundreds of direct links to these home sales on the internet.

One tip the author reveals is not to buy the land, only the house, and to lease the land. His family pays $659 a month to lease the land his house sits on. That fee also includes the perks of his gated retirement community, like an Olympic swimming pool and lodge and recreation areas. It also includes trash pickup twice a week, 67 channels of cable tv, etc., so the actual cost of the land rental is about $400 a month.

The book identifies hundreds of similar communities with these fees ranging from $165 to $1000, and all having current homes available in the specified range.

Currently available on pre-order, the book release is scheduled for Oct. 26. The website for the book is www.affordablefla.com. Matthews was a former Editor of the NSS News, the monthly magazine of the National Speleological Society (professional cave explorers). He is a Fellow of the Society and served on its Board of Directors. He is an instrument rated pilot and a noted pet photographer.

Ann Hunter Photography to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

When things in life get to be too much, I grab my camera, jump in my Jeep and I’m gone.”

— Ann Hunter

PAYSON, ARIZONA, UNITED STATES, September 27, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — We have so much inner life that we’re not aware of unless something helps us tap into it. Art and creativity offer the tools for self-discovery. The camera, the brush, the instrument, becomes an extension of you. You’re not holding a camera. You are the camera.

Ann Hunter had moved to Phoenix in 1996 seeking a fresh start that was almost immediately disrupted by a major car accident. It took Hunter three years to recover from the accident, and in those years many people came to visit her. One of them was a college professor volunteering at the hospital.

“He said ‘Ann I have an idea,’” recalls Hunter. “’Someday when you feel better I would like you to do an exercise for me. Take a pencil and close your eyes and allow your hand to dance freely on the paper.’ Don’t think, remember to feel and simply begin.

“I never saw him again but his suggestion changed my life. Months later I performed the exercise and it began a fascinating journey of self-discovery. I discovered what was possible from within me that up to this point I had no idea I had potential to access. And even though I was terribly injured I could work on these things. As time went on, I worked through the 3 major mediums of art and ultimately I discovered photography."

This journey of healing led to a new awareness. Hunter realized that the camera and all the mediums of art were simply and most importantly a tool of self-discovery that also helped her to develop a keen sensory perception that ultimately allowed her to discover the true beauty of life, even on her worst days.

Today Ann Hunter is a professional photographer

“When things in life get to be too much, I grab my camera, jump in my Jeep and I’m gone,” says Hunter. “I’m going to walk the land, talk to people. It’s so renewing and I come back all brand new again.”

In 2017, it seems everyone is a photographer. But being a professional photographer requires more than just a good eye. It’s about engaging all the senses, capturing a subject’s personality: who they are and what they want and ultimately delivering a great product.

“It’s photography but it’s so much more,” says Hunter. “The creative process is absolutely amazing. It helps to frame my life and I continue to define it better each time. If I keep remembering where I came from and have fun with the process, my work is hopefully going to be incredible. That’s when my finest work comes. Some people get so serious. I’m just having a incredibly good time simply being myself.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Ann Hunter in an interview with Doug Llewelyn on September 29th at 2pm EDT.

Marilyn Monroe, Under the Veil; Autism, Numerology & Norma Jeane by Lydia Andal Book Launch 1st December 2017

The Goddess, the Idol, the Icon.
These are Marilyn’s best known labels.
Bipolar. Borderline. Dyslexia. Disfluency.
These are Marilyn’s lesser known labels.

After several years’ researching this previously untold story of Marilyn Monroe, now is the right time to share the new discoveries that have been uncovered Under the Veil of this timeless icon”

— Lydia Andal

LONDON, ENGLAND, September 27, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Marilyn Monroe Under the Veil; Autism, Numerology & Norma Jeane by Lydia Andal Book Launch 1st December 2017

Publicity, Review & Endorsement Pre-Launch Highlights 2017

“Explosive” – Essex Magazine

“The prospect that Monroe herself was on the autistic spectrum is introduced, highlighting that like many autistic women, she was a skilled ‘autistic mimic’ who masked her true self and used an expertly crafted outer persona as a coping mechanism to navigate her way to stardom in the complex world of Hollywood.”

Heather Vincent (pseudonym), NHS clinical reviewer & autism specialist support worker. Heather is on the autism spectrum.

“This fascinating book will appeal to all, not just avid Monroe fans. Its eclectic, but expertly tied themes of numerology and autism, flow with an examination of psychoanalysis. Freudian thought still dominated mid-twentieth century psychiatry and the Freudian unconscious mirrors the ‘Marilyn consciousness’ described by Andal as present but still ethereal – not least for Norma Jeane.”

Lizzy Trafford, PhD student studying American Literature and researching numerology in William S. Burroughs’ Cut-Up trilogy. Lizzy was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome in 2010.

"Her story (much like Princess Diana's) is one that the public feels that they don't just know, but many, particularly those who have had political leverage in the States, feel they have ownership of. Your book will blow that myth right out the window, revealing the layers of Marilyn that very few knew, and even fewer understood. Congratulations on creating such a compelling read and bringing the real Norma Jeane out into the spotlight."
