New On-Site Seminars Coach Business Leaders in Mitigating the Hidden Costs of Grieving Employees

Leadership Grief Seminars by R. Glenn Kelly

The Workforce Capital Recovery Program's "Grief in the Workplace Leadership Seminars" are available to business and organizational leaders across America

Let's Support Your Most Valuable Assets…And Your Bottom Line”

— R. Glenn Kelly

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, UNITED STATES, February 28, 2019 / — Today, award winning author, public speaker, former business executive, and bereaved father, R. Glenn Kelly, announces the nation-wide availability of business coaching seminars targeted at forward-thinking companies and other organizations who recognize that grief does have significant adverse impacts on both the employee and the entire enterprise.

Every year in America, indifferent organizations lose over $100 billion in precious revenue due to the hidden direct and indirect costs of employee bereavement and grief in the workplace. According to the American Hospice Foundation, over 4 million employees will experience the death of a loved one every year, and 25% of employees in any organization can be experiencing the emotional impacts of grief at any one time.

As the seminar presenter, R. Glenn Kelly brings a unique coaching approach through his experiences as both a former successful business executive and as a bereaved father. While many grief advocates will focus predominant on support for the grieved worker, R. Glenn balances the compassion needs of the employee with the knowledge that a business remains responsible to other employees, customers, suppliers, and more. Through proven preemptive concepts and reactive responses to numerous scenarios, the seminars identify the emotional impacts of employee grief and the resulting potential areas of risk to the organization.

One widely-accepted commissioned grief study was conducted with over 25,000 bereaved subjects who were actively employed at the time they experienced the unfortunate death of a loved one. Of those, 85% who identified as management personnel reported experiencing major errors in judgment on the job that went on for six months or longer. Another 90% of front-line employees who became injured on the job after the loss reported that grief influences contributed to the accident.

The three-hour seminars are conducted on-site at the client's business facility in a highly interactive format where the leadership attendees gain a deep awareness and understanding of grief on the job. The attendees will also obtain comprehensive employee grief support actions, an knowledge of inherent risks of grief to safety and productivity, as well as be able to design formal Bereavement Action Plans to mitigate all future grief in the workplace events.

About the Presenter
R. Glenn Kelly is first and foremost a bereaved father. In 2013, he would lose his sixteen-year-old son and only child to a rare congenital heart defect. Soon after, he would have his first of four grief support books published, and as a rare male willing to share his pains from loss with others, quickly became a highly sought-after Keynote Speaker and Workshop Presenter. He has appeared and spoken about grief support on national and local television, radio programs, newspaper articles, and various live-stream webinars and podcasts. He has consecutively served twice as a Keynote Speaker at the headquarters of Delta Airlines in Atlanta, Georgia, before an audience of bereaved Delta employees flown in from around the company for corporate support. R. Glenn was an active member of a Board of Advisors for the Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, and as a National Board of Director's member for three large non-profit national grief support organizations. He has collaborated on grief related subjects with such organizations as Coca-Cola, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, and St. Jude's Children's Research Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

Award Winning Author Veera Mahajan Reveals here How To Love Yourself Enough to Stop Abuse, and a link on How Withholding Sex Can be Used as a Weapon

It is better to be alone than to be lonely with someone who does not respect you or make you feel good about yourself.”

— Veera Mahajan, author; UNREPORTED: Learning to LIVE free

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA, US, February 28, 2019 / — "Unreported: Learning to LIVE Free" Author Veera Mahajan Reveals in her awarded book, how to spot signs of abuse, and even more importantly, how to leave an abusive relationship. The following details several excerpts from the powerful contents of that book, as well as additional advice exclusively from the author–here free.

Esteemed Author, Mediator, and Public Speaker; Veera Mahajan is one of Malibu’s most valued community leaders. The beautiful and intelligent woman is also author of the critically acclaimed book “Unreported: Learning to LIVE free," about recognizing and overcoming domestic abuse and stopping domestic violence. Veera Mahajan is also a highly praised Educator, Mediator, and Publisher, having created and published the landmark publication "Malibu Chronicle."

As noted earlier in the news; With a master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from the prestigious Pepperdine School of Law; Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Veera Mahajan leads a multi-faceted team of private clients; educating them on the causes and solutions of crisis and conflicts.

In the institutional, educational world, Veera successfully leads a position as Communications Coordinator; bridging understanding, and wisely teaching peacemaking for both the student-body and parents, as well as faculty. Through Veera’s guidance and expertise, students and peers learn to listen and respect each other, resolving conflicts with calmness and logic, rather than anger or violence.

A licensed Mediator; Veera’s motivation to help others lends itself to her work with attorney’s in resolving conflicts in the areas of business, and family among more. Her proven successes help save time, money, and most importantly–relationships.

Signs of Abuse to look for as detailed by "UNREPORTED" author Veera Mahajan, are the following:

–Abusers may beg you for forgiveness
–Abusers may try to buy your love back with gifts
–Abusers may shower you with praise
–Abusers may then hurt you physically or emotionally all over again

Veera states, "Once they know that you bought their excuses and you are back, they will turn back to the same perpetrator that they were. This is called the "cycle of abuse" or "honeymoon period." It happens again. You have to look for patterns. If the behavior is not changing for good and keeps coming back, see that as the pattern–and run. It is not going to get better. They are only nice when they want to be forgiven, but they are not capable of maintaining the good behavior. You have to stop accepting the apologies, and see them for who they are, and figure out how to separate yourself from them. Believe that you deserve better and say "no" to abuse!"

Veera did an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Sentinel recently, and the following is the second part of an excerpt of that discussion, concerning how to improve one's life through self-esteem, and a positive mental attitude.

Veera Mahajan; Exclusive Interview, Courtesy of The Hollywood Sentinel:

Hollywood Sentinel: There is a great quote in your book which I love that states, "Do you know that you were born as good as anyone else? Well you were. No one has the right to make you feel afraid or make you feel bad about yourself." What was the single most important thing that helped "you" get over your fear of others or of those that abused you?

Veera: Seeing my growing son, still afraid of his father when he was hitting him, killed the fear inside me and made me finally take the action that was so overdue. I finally decide to give up trying to beg him to stop abusing us instead I decide to "stop" accepting the abuse and I told him I was leaving him. That day I freed my sons and myself to live our lives the way we wanted to live and put and end to abuse.

Hollywood Sentinel: That's powerful Veera. You have stated that love is stronger thank hate. Please explain further why this is?

Veera Mahajan: It all starts with how much you love yourself. Since our childhood, we are taught to be nice to others and love others. Most of us are not taught or encouraged to love ourselves. Most of us never learned self care. Since the very beginning, we are made to feel bad about taking care of ourselves. We are told it is selfish if we think about our own happiness. So we learn to take care of other people and when we don’t get the care back, we start building resentment. We expect people we care about to care about us and when we don’t get it, we are disappointed and hate it. Hate makes us fight and be mean to each other. If we teach our children to love themselves, they will have better expectations from their relationships. We expect less than respect because we don’t love ourselves enough to believe that we deserve the best.

Hollywood Sentinel: That's so true, I love that. What is the best way to achieve and maintain a positive mental attitude?

Veera: A healthy mind, and a healthy body! Taking care of your physical health by regular workout's and maintaining healthy eating habits will make you feel better about yourself. Feeling good about yourself is very important for making sure you respect yourself in all aspects of your life, whether it is in business or personal situations. Taking care of your physical self lets you see the positive results. Once you learn that positive things happen with healthy habits, it teaches you to build a healthy and positive attitude towards everything else you do in life. So, I think to maintain a positive attitude; maintain a healthy body. It takes a positive self-image and positive mental attitude to maintain good physical health.

The program has been designed for high impact learning by direct visualization of live surgery via live stream technology on the internet.

This symposium is based on the same high-level educational experience and state of the art plastic surgery innovation you have come to expect over the years from The Aston Baker Cutting Edge meeting in New York City.

High level curated content by Dr. Aston and Dr. Baker and a mix of U.S. and International surgeons operating live from four operating rooms will be simultaneously live streamed around the world, directly to your phone, tablet or computer.

Why Live Stream?

Harvard and University of North Carolina researchers funded by Alzheimer’s Germ Quest to investigate microbes

Bacteria found in brains provide clues that a microbe may trigger the disease

Two more scientists get grants to investigate the possibility that germs are the trigger of Alzheimer's disease

These inquiries into germs help broaden the search for the cause of Alzheimer's disease”

— Leslie Norins, MD, PhD

NAPLES, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, February 27, 2019 / — Research grant funds made available by Alzheimer’s Germ Quest, Inc. (AGQ), have been awarded to two researchers, one at Harvard and the other at University of North Carolina, to investigate roles of microbes in Alzheimer’s disease, announces Leslie Norins, MD, PhD, company CEO.

The recipients were Colette Cywes-Bentley, PhD, assistant professor of medicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, and Allison Aiello, PhD, professor of epidemiology in North Carolina’s School of Global Public Health, Chapel Hill.

The awards were the result of collaboration between AGQ and the Foundation of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), which designed and administered the application and judging process.

Dr. Norins says the stimulus for the awards was “the willingness of IDSA, the country’s premier organization of infectious disease specialists, to encourage investigation of infectious agents as possible triggers or promoters of Alzheimer’s disease”. He says the interest of IDSA is a major milestone in widening the search for causation of Alzheimer’s beyond the decades-long focus on two characteristic proteins found in the brains of patients, amyloid plaques and tau tangles.

Dr. Cywes-Bentley will investigate whether a particular chemical marker, known to scientists as PNAG, and common to many pathogenic bacteria, can help identify the participation of these microbes in Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Aiello will study data from large groups of volunteers, who have been followed as they age, to see if various factors related to infection correlate with subsequent development of Alzheimer’s disease.

AGQ is a public benefit corporation headquartered in Naples, Florida. Its mission is to accelerate and deepen research into the role of microbes in the causation of Alzheimer’s disease. It is self-funded, and neither solicits nor accepts outside donations or grants.

Karen Koenig, Author of 'Woman On Top: How to Win in a Woman’s Way' to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

EVERETT, WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES, February 26, 2019 / — How can we navigate male-dominated industries while retaining our femininity?

Karen Koenig is the author of Woman on Top: How to Win in a Woman’s Way.

Karen Koenig has over 30 years of experience in male dominated fields. She spent 26 years in the military, six years in aerospace and then changed careers entirely in 2015 to financial services. All these experiences–military, aerospace and financial services–have inspired Karen to write this book so women know they don’t have to take a step back to take a step forward toward success.

“I felt I had a story to tell about working in male-dominated fields that people can apply to their current situation whether they're a woman or a man,” says Karen. “What the title intends to say is that a woman can be on top no matter what she's doing, whether she's in a male-dominated field, an entrepreneur or even a stay-at-home mom.”

Karen says no matter where you choose to work, ultimately you have to teach people how you wish to be treated.

“If you’re being mistreated, you can't let it go on, because if you don't nip it in the bud at the beginning, people will feel like they can continue to treat you that way,” says Karen. “In the '80s, men didn't really want women in the military in the first place, so I had to overcome that. I'm also very feminine type of girl, whereas a lot of the women in the military didn’t wear makeup or have nails. So I kind of broke the mold. I still wanted to be me even though I was in the military. I just didn't want to compromise that.”

How a person wants to be treated is entirely dependent on each individual’s needs. You determine it for yourself and demand it of others, even your boss.

“Each person is unique,” says Karen. “I just want people to understand that you can be successful and authentic. You have to be yourself.”

Karen says the key to shifting these work-environment paradigms is for all women to come together and support each other.

“Women need to help each other,” says Karen. “I believe we will all make more of a difference in any field if we take that approach.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Karen Koenig in an interview with Doug Llewelyn on February 28th at 1pm EST.

MA legisator and author Josh Cutler publishes 'Mobtown Massacre,' story of Alexander Hanson and 1812 attack

When the press was really under attack: author Josh Cutler tells story of ‘Mobtown Massacre,’ Alexander Hanson and 1812 attack

The event took place at a time when the nation was bitterly divided, plunged into foreign conflict, and polarized by growing partisanship and rising tensions with the press.”

— Josh Cutler

HANSON, MA, USA, February 26, 2019 / — Massachusetts State Representative Josh Cutler has published a book, Mobtown Massacre, that tells an interesting story of when the press really was under attack, and the story of a fiery young editor for whom the town of Hanson, MA was named.

The event took place in 1812. It was a time when the nation was bitterly divided, plunged into foreign conflict, and polarized by growing partisanship and rising tensions with the press. Then, into the fray, stepped Hanson, the editor, who penned a sharply worded attack on the President and his policies.

In Mobtown Massacre, Cutler shares the story of Alexander Hanson, a 19th century Federalist newspaper editor whose anti-war writings provoked a bloodthirsty mob, a midnight jailbreak and a brutal massacre in the city of Baltimore that stunned the nation. Hanson was later elected to the U.S. Congress, but never fully recovered from the brutal attack on his newspaper.

This fateful but little-known episode in American history helped shape the course of a war and the nation’s promise of a free press. And it all started with a headline.

Josh Cutler, a Duxbury resident, is an attorney, and former newspaper editor who currently serves as a State Representative. He represents a district which includes the Town of Hanson, MA, which is named after Alexander Hanson.

Mobtown Massacre: Alexander Hanson and the Baltimore Newspaper War of 1812 is published by The History Press and includes a foreword by Dr. Edward Papenfuse, a noted historian and retired Maryland State Archivist.

All proceeds from the sale of the book are being donated to local historical societies. For more information on the book, please visit

The Daily Brew: a 365 Day Guided Journal for Self-Care and Stress Management

ONEONTA, NY, USA, February 25, 2019 / — Contact Info January 22, 2019
Gary Robinson
The Daily Brew Journal
(607) 431-4437

Oneonta, NY: Two recent college graduates and a college-based therapist have published a 365-day guided journal titled, “The Daily Brew”. The Daily Brew journal allows the reader to write about their feelings and thoughts using daily prompts. Along with each prompt comes an inspirational quote. The reader is encouraged to answer freely and never be afraid of answering too quickly. Answering quickly can allow for a free association of ideas. The reader has lots of choices as to which prompt to address next; there are no rules to journaling.

Daily journaling has been empirically linked with increased emotional intelligence, memory, creativity, self-awareness, problem solving, and confidence. Regular journaling can help people to avoid “bottling”, which refers to holding back on emotions. When emotions are held back, anxiety and depression can occur. Journaling allows one to slow things down in a fast-paced, stress-filled world and allow reflection. With this practice in place, life can be seen more objectively and increase a tolerance for unpredictability. As a result, the reader will feel less stressed and more productive as they continue this daily process.

“I’m actually using a journal! And only after about 10 false starts over the years! Ha!
But, The Daily Brew journal is so much better; It’s really helped me to address my stress
issues and look introspectively in general. Definitely pick one up today!” —-Pete Fecteau,
Oneonta, NY

Copies of The Daily Brew journal are available from:,, and Please help us spread the word about this non-profit resource for mental health!!! All proceeds go to buy copies of the book that the authors are giving away to individuals and organizations.
