“Bullying became ever-so familiar to me,” Author Dewey B. Reynolds explains, as he shares his own relatable, personal experience. “Having come from a biracial background—kids from school and in the neighborhood often picked fights with me—while taunting me with cruel names about my two separate racial backgrounds.”

Stuart Duffelmeyer finds social acceptance rather hard because of his shy demeanor and Jewish background. This leads his college classmates to target him as an object of ridicule.

Bullying is a universal issue—it can happen in any community, culture, or age group.

Most victims of bullying often suffer the following mental and emotional conditions:

Mental Health Impacts

• Bullied students are 2–9× more likely to report mental health issues.

• 37% report persistent sadness or hopelessness.

• 15% of bullied students attempt suicide (vs. 4% of non bullied).

• Social bullying victims:

• 80% report anxiety

• 65% report depression

• 45% report sleep disruption

• 38% report appetite loss

Bullying knows no boundaries and has no respect for age, race, gender, religion or creed.

Some of the most famous people in history were quite familiar with bullying during their formative years:

•  An iconic Hollywood actor was bullied as a child because of a defect that he suffered at birth.

For anyone who’s ever been bullied or badly mistreated, they will discover how Stuart Duffelmeyer and the Masters of Plagues can become their roadmap to redemption and healing. The writing of the book itself became very therapeutic for Author Dewey B. Reynolds.
